This is a one on one lesson with Lynn where the student learns about fusible applique.

Cost: $ 75.00
Do you have a quilt that you would like to know more about? It can be old or new. It may be a quilt that you are sending to a quilt show and it may need an appraisal, or you might want the information for insurance purposes. Lynn Rinehart is certified through AQS (American Quilt Society) to appraise quilts. We are now accepting appointments for her to consult and appraise quilts.

Cost: $ 40.00
The student will create a fiber art piece using fused fabrics. Boots and flowers will bloom on the piece, allowing the student to quilt it and learn to stretch it on canvas for a beautiful addition to the home or a thoughtful gift for friends.

The start to finish quilted wall hanging. Learning how to cut pieces, make half square triangles, piece the quilt top, quilt the quilt, bind it and put on a label. Start to finish for the charming quilt. Great for beginners! Finished size: 32" x 32"

Join Lynn to make a double wedding ring quilt with the appliqué technique. The size of the quilt will be determined by the number of rings the quilter wants to make.

Make a Lone Star quilt with fused interfacing using the Quiltsmart technique. The project will create a Lone Star quilt; finished size will depend on which style of Lone Star the quilter chooses. Printed Quiltsmart interfacing kit available to purchase in store or online.

Did you know that you can do amazing things with just one fabric? The techniques we will use in the class come from a book called One Block Wonder. We will make kaleidoscope blocks from one fabric and from these blocks we will make an amazing one-of-a-kind quilt top. This class will meet twice. In the first class we will learn how to make the blocks and in the second we will design the top and learn how to put it all together.

Join us at the shop to work on your own project in our spacious classroom! Bring your project and your sewing machine to sew up to 5 hours. This is a great opportunity to arrange sewing time with your friends in a private space. You may just want to get away from distractions at home and sew uninterrupted. Ample space is available to spread out your large projects. Ironing stations are provided. Stitchers Garden will not provide machines, supplies, or instructors. Seating is limited, so reservations are required in advance.

Join this fun class to sew a cute Poppins bag with your favorite fabric. Ideal size for essentials to carry during travels or retreats. This bag has inside pockets, and the metal stays allowing it to be wide open whilst using it. Overcome your fear of inserting a zipper in this bag – you will learn there is nothing to fear!

Do you have a quilt that would be perfect as a jacket? Would you like to construct a quilt with your favorite fabrics and make a jacket out of it? Now you can do just that! Come spend time with fellow quilters and make that jacket you've dreamed of!

Are you new to quilting? Do you have a sewing machine but are not sure what to do now? If yes, then this 2-hour private class is for you! What you will learn: -Various notions -Types of thread -How to cut fabric with a rotary cutter and mat -Pressing vs. ironing -Fundamental basics of machine piecing and quilting Since this is a private class, you will have the opportunity to ask questions and get personalized recommendations on projects you can complete at home as you seek to improve your skill level.

Everyone needs the perfect tote with many pockets. This is it! The straps are long enough to wear over the shoulder. In this class you will learn how to easily install zippers, make multiple pockets, and work with Totally Stable. You will need to have mastered the quarter inch seam and rotary cutting. Since there are so many different techniques it will take 2 days to complete the tote. You will be required to quilt, cut out, and label all the parts before class.

Our Beginning class is here! You will learn all the basic techniques of quilting while completing this beautiful Saltwater Sampler quilt. The class consists of 4 sessions and there will be lots of practical information and block making. Come join Linda in learning the basics of making a quilt.

Crazy Modern is a fresh interpretation of the crazy quilts of the early 1900’s. Learn the basics of foundation piecing, use up your scraps, and expand your stitch repertoire with decorative stitches on your sewing machine.

Standard Needs for all classes: 

Sewing Machine in good working order, power cord, foot pedal, and extra bobbins

¼ inch foot for sewing machine (if you have it)

50 weight cotton thread in a neutral color and extra 80/12 sewing machine needles

Rotary cutter and 6-inch x 12 or 14-inch ruler

Scissors, seam ripper, pen/pencil and paper (for notes)

Stitchers Garden Class Policies: 

Classes at Stitchers Garden are limited to 4 to 6 students. You must register in person, at the store or on-line at our website, www.StitchersGarden.com, to save your place. Unless specified, the cost of the class does not include project supplies and/or kit supplies. You will receive a supply list and/or prep sheet at the time of registration. Class members will receive a 10% discount on class supplies purchased at the shop before class and the day of class. Plan to arrive 15 minutes prior to class so that you have ample time to get set up prior to the beginning of class. Remember that class fees are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, even for no-shows, so double check your calendar and then sign up to join us! Students will receive a refund should the class be cancelled by the shop. 

What is your skill level?

Beginner:  Just learning

Confident Beginner:  Knows their sewing machine and how it works, has a working knowledge of a rotary cutter, and can sew a ¼ seam consistently

Intermediate:  Has the ability to follow simple pattern instructions

Advanced:  Intermediate skills and willingness to learn an advanced technique
